The Castle Hotel, with its fine Georgian facade, commands a prominent place in St. Peters Square. Located in the heart of The Clwydian Mountains, Ruthin provides a gateway to Mid and North Wales.
The Castle is ideally situated to take advantage of all this area has to offer and combines high quality accommodation and restaurant facilities with friendly and attentive staff, creating an atmosphere of comfortable ambiance in which to enjoy your surroundings. The hotel consists of 19 en suite bedrooms, all with tea/coffee facilities and satellite TV.
Comfortable surroundings, a warm welcoming ambience, excellent food and great personal service is a combination that has ensured guests return time after time. We consider this to be the best feedback and recommendation of all.

Christmas is a magical time at The Castle Hotel. This all-inclusive 2-night package is for a double room and offers superb food and excellent value for money. Arriving from 14:00 on Monday 24 December, you can enjoy a glass of sherry and mince pies on arrival, before a gourmet evening meal from 19:00. On Christmas Day, enjoy a full cooked breakfast, a leisurely Christmas lunch, a pre-dinner Buck's Fizz and an evening buffet meal. Then on Boxing Day, enjoy a full cooked breakfast before we wish you a safe journey home, hopefully after having succeeded your expectations.
Valentines offer: Treat that someone special to a romantic night away to relax. All rooms are en suite with great views all round, full cooked breakfast with a bottle wine, along with a rose in your room upon arrival. Also included is complimentary use of our sister hotel's spa. Enjoy a pre-meal drink in our popular bar, or a light bite from our extensive bar menu at lunchtime. Our best recommendation is that the Castle bar and restaurants are popular venues for the friendly locals as well as for guests.
We have an excellent reputation for serving fine food at modest prices. Everything is cooked to order by our team of chefs from fresh ingredients delivered daily, and you really will notice the difference in taste. We use only the finest local produce with Welsh black beef and Welsh fresh lamb a speciality.
We offer a choice from our daily table d'hôte 3-course menu or you can choose from the à la carte menu. Either way. you will find a choice of dishes to appeal to every taste. Our friendly head chef is always happy to cater for any special dietary requirements given sufficient notice.

- Take the A483 Chester to Wrexham dual carriageway and turn off at the junction for the A525 to Ruthin.

From the South:
- Take the A5 and join the A483 dual carriageway for Wrexham.
- Turn off at junction for the A525 for Ruthin and continue for the town centre and St. Peters Square. The Castle Hotel is on your left-hand side.
